FOLEY — Due to Labor Day on Monday, the Foley City Council meeting will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. instead of the traditional first Monday of the month. The Council work session will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Foley City Council meeting, work session bumped back to Tuesday

FOLEY — Due to Labor Day on Monday, the Foley City Council meeting will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. instead of the traditional first Monday of the month. The Council work session will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Besides the Community Development, Fire and Police department reports slated to be given on Tuesday, council members will also consider approval of two Retail Liquor licenses.

Margarita Iniquez is applying for a Retail Liquor license under the name of Margarita's Tortilleria and Taqueria located at 1331-5 Commercial Drive.

TKO Pizza is the applicant for a Retail Beer (on and off premises) license for Wise Guyz Pizza located at 1508 N. McKenzie St.

The council will also set public hearings to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation for split zoning for the McLeod property and B-1A for all other property within the annexation under Legislative Act 2007-478 with the exception of certain properties.

The council will consider a second reading of an ordinance declaring certain real property surplus and authorizing sale of the same to the Baldwin County Mental Health Center Inc.

A first reading of an ordinance will be considered declaring certain real property no longer needed and authorizing conveyance of the same to Swift Supply Co. Inc.
