Foley Council approves adding emergency lights to fleet of patrol vehicles

FOLEY, Ala. - The Foley City Council unanimously approved a resolution Monday appropriating $10,000 for the purchase and installation of emergency lights for patrol vehicles for the Foley Police Department.

"This brings us up to speed on vehicles," Chief David Wilson said at the work session.

The vehicles were obtained in drug assets.

In other news, the council:

• approved a resolution creating a temporary part-time field maintenance worker position.

• approved a resolution unfreezing the street laborer and freeze equipment operator positions.

• approved a request from Chief Wilson to begin receiving bids in regards to enclosing the office area of the deputy police chief.
