Foley council approves multiple events

The Foley City Council agreed to allow South Baldwin Regional Medical Center to use John B. Foley Park and Heritage Park on May 14 for the Fourth annual Healthy Woman Anniversary Party. The council has allowed SBRMC to hold this event at the parks before, and also agreed to allow wine to be served at the event.

The council agreed to allow the YMCA to hold the Third annual Kids Need Heroes Run and one-mile fun run on Feb. 26 from 8-11 a.m. Maggie Boudreaux, coordinator for the YMCA in Foley has already spoken with the Foley Police Department asking for their support in traffic control, which was granted.

The council agreed to allow the South Baldwin Numismatic Society to hold a coin collector’s convention in the civic center Aug. 12, 13 and 14 and will waive the kitchen fees for the event. The city has allowed the society to use the civic center for previous conventions, which are held twice a year.
