FOLEY, Ala. - The Foley City Council approved a request for Uptown Foley to hold the second annual Foley Fall Market each Thursday from Oct. 6 to Nov. 10 from 5-8 p.m. in the alleyway behind Hotel Magnolia and the Magnolia Court restaurant.
Anthony Kaiser represented Uptown Foley at the council work session and described the event, talking about the success from last year and the plans for this year. The biggest change is each event lasting three hours instead of two.
We're extending it one hour because everyone stayed an extra hour (last year)," Kaiser said.
The event is free and the 10-by-10 space is also free to obtain, Kaiser said.
"The purpose never was to make money," he said. "It's a community environment. The whole thing is a community thing."
Kaiser also said this year the plan is to close part of Jessamine Avenue so the farmer's market can enter and exit.
