Foley council approves updates for electrical fuse panels at Foley Community Development Building

FOLEY, Ala. - The Foley City Council unanimously approved a resolution appropriating $1,240 for electrical fuse panel updates at the Foley Community Development Building.

"We need a lot of work done at the building," Pam Harris, municipal complex supervisor, said at the council work session. "This will just get us started."

Harris said a lot of the electrical wiring in the building "is extremely old," and repairs are needed.

"It's about time the building was re-wired," she said. "It's getting brittle. I don't know the year the building was built, but it is a very old building."

The building is located on Alston Street, around one block away from U.S. 98.

"Mostly right now the repairs are pertaining to the wiring," she said. "It's an ongoing project at that building because of the age of it and right now we're going to focus on the wiring."
