The Foley High School Class of 1952 will have its 60-year reunion on July 26th at 10 a.m. Plans have been made to hold the gathering at the Wolf Bay Lodge Restaurant in Foley.
Fifteen class members and their spouses met to plan the event. Maureen Manley Rhodes will chair the decorating committee. Evelyn Lehmann Holloway will handle the finances and Mildred Amos Whitaker will have a memorial for the thirty-four deceased members of the class. Dolores Mikkelsen Teem is chairman of the Planning Committee. R. Wayne Teem, Vice-President of the class, will preside over the reunion.
Thirty-eight members of the class and their spouses or guests have sent in plans to attend along with former homeroom teacher R. L. Smith. Mr. Smith was later principal of Foley High School and then Superintendent of Education of Baldwin County. He is now 93 years old.
Other faculty members planning to attend are Miss Katherine Steedley and Tommy and Ruby Robinson. Members are excited about this reunion and are coming from California, Maryland, Florida, Georgia and Texas along with those from various places in Alabama and those who live locally. Other class members are encouraged to join in this reunion.
