Foley High School recently held its National Honor Society induction ceremony, and 54 students became new members.
New members include sophomores Dale Aaron, Madeline Adkins, Caleb Bankston, Ryan Barnicle, Lily Batchelor, John Bretz, Christina Carpenter, Jessica Clopton, Maggie Costa, Alyssa Davis, Jarrod Davis, Payton Dean, Drake Deisner, Lacey Dugger, Kaitlyn Ebert, Shannon Finch, Tristan Forbus, Hilton Foster, Samantha Gary, Zachary Gebhart, Luke Gilmore, Bethany Gonzalez, Jefferson Griffin, Cameron Hale, Hannah Hart, Austin Jennings, Micah Land, Casey Lane, Preston Langham, Adam Lawrence, Logan Maloy, Madalyn McCormick, Kristina Moccio, Braidon Moore, Kailey Neitzel, Sam Pelt, Trever Reaves, Mackenzie Robinson, Matthew Stinson, Brittan Wallace, Brylee Watson, and Bailey Wilson. Junior inductees were Jennifer Benton, Luke Jackson, Deja James, Chanler Lee, Zachary Murray, Blake Nall, Dayton Prochazka, Tiara Rowell, Brianna Sullivan, Daniel Wilson, and Maya Woodyard. Also among inductees was senior Brandon Rivers.
The National Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Foley High NHS members, as a group and individually, volunteer more than 2500 hours each year in their community and school.
Principal Russ Moore congratulated the new members for their achievements. Foley alumna and guest speaker Kerry Flowers focused his message on character leadership, and making good choices.
