The Foley High school counselor met with 8th grade and students were given their Academic Guide booklets and a registration sheet that is to be completed and signed by their parents. The registration form is due on Thursday, March 15. Please remind students to complete and return the registration form to their English teacher.
On Friday, March 16th, students will have Spring pictures taken. These pictures are not your ordinary school photos. Students will be allowed to make their own pose and use appropriate props (sunglasses, jewelry, hats,etc). School administration reserves the right to control poses and props. No hand signs, inappropriate clothing or vulgarity will be allowed. This is a proof program. All students are photographed and then after about 2 weeks, a proof is sent home with a price list and directions for ordering. Friday, March 16th is the Spring Dance from 6:00-8:30. Information about tickets will be available at school. Make plans to attend! We hope to see you all there!

The BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Book Fair will be held in the library loft April 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Students will receive info from their Literature teachers.
This year Foley Middle School students participated in the City of Foley's Arbor Day Celebration. Students in Mrs. Hinson’s Science classes created posters using the theme “Trees are Terrific and Forests are too”. The posters were displayed at the celebration on February 25th. The winners were: 1st place-David Esparza, 2nd place- Kalee Hinson, 3rd place- Eric Cloy, and Honorable Mention- Candace Johnson.
Foley Middle School will be performing the musical ‘Oklahoma’ on May 15th and 17th. Ms. Raines’ classes are working with Ms. Mandy Batts, a Theatre Professional, to prepare for their big performance. Students have auditioned for the Show and the Cast has been set. All 120 students will be involved in the production in some capacity. Presently the students have been working on the Farmer and the Cowman Dance. They will debut this number on March 22nd at 6:00 pm at Foley Elementary School, where many other “Arts” experiences from the county will be showcased. Please mark your calendars and plan to support Foley Middle Schools Drama Students. They are working hard and are very excited about their performances in May.
