At FIS we have a Relay for Life Team. Relay for Life is an event that celebrates the lives of people who have battled cancer, helps us remember loved ones lost, and helps to fight back against the disease. We will be having a yard sale March 17th in down town Foley, in the alley behind the Magnolia Court This is the same day as Barbeque Blues. We will be accepting donations for the yard sale between now and March 9th. Profits from the yard sale will go to Relay for Life. We are excited about our Relay for Life Team. We love doing things to help others at Foley Intermediate School.By Shelby Anderson, Kaylee Nelson, and Yasmeen Gardner

Mrs. Wheaton and Celeste Bryan were awarded a grant by the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation. The $975 will be used for literature circles in their classroom. Sam Harper and Mrs.Thomas received a grant of $649 from the South Baldwin Chamber for a “Health and Welllness” collection of books for the library. We would like to thank the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation for awarding these grants to our school.

We are very proud of our Baldwin County Spelling Bee participant, Bunni Lerille. She spelled some very difficult words like “tentativeness,” and she placed 7th out of 35 students.  Bunni is a fifth grader in Mrs. Wheaton’s all-girls class.
