FOLEY, Ala. – After getting off to a slow start this season, Foley's Lady Lions swept a tri-match against 5A powerhouse Faith Academy and 6A foe Baldwin County in what first-year head coach Jessica Allred hopes is a turning point for her team.

The Lady Lions defeated Faith Academy 17-25, 25-10, 15-10 and beat Baldwin County 25-13, 16-25, 15-12.

"We've been struggling with our mentality," Allred said. "That's what we have been working on, trying some uplifting things and getting them to work harder in practice every day."

Vanessa Dilley had 15 assists and seven digs, Megan Haber had nine kills and three blocks, Kiki Youngblood had six kills and four blocks, Summer Collins had five aces and Taelor Slota and Mercedes Moreno had seven digs each for Foley.

Baldwin County coach Scott Daugherty said Alex Easley and Summer Moody played well in the loss.
