FOLEY — A robbery attempt at Lowe’s last week was foiled with the arrest of a Foley man.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Foley Police arrested 46-year-old Willie L. Conner for robbery in the first degree.
According to a police report, a member of Lowe’s Loss Prevention witnessed Conner committing a theft.
“When they tried to detain him, he resisted and stated he had a gun,” a Foley Police electronic notification stated. “Witnesses also stated that he had a knife clipped to his pants and tried to reach for it but it was taken away from him before he could get it.”
At press time, Conner is being held at the Baldwin County Correction Facility in Bay Minette on a $500,000 bond.
