FOLEY, Ala. — A 59-year-old Foley man has been bound over to the grand jury in connection with a DUI incident that resulted in injuries to five people.
James Pinson Turrittin has been charged with first-degree assault in connection with the DUI incident which occurred on June 5, 2009, according to court documents.
Turrittin’s address is listed as Baldwin County Road 49 in Foley. The Baldwin County Corrections Center Web site said Turrittin was released after posting a $10,000 bond on the felony assault charge.
The warrant of arrest noted Turrittin allegedly caused “serious physical injury” to one of the victims.
First-degree assault is a Class C felony punishable by not more than 10 years or less than one year and one day in prison.
