FAIRHOPE, Ala. — A Foley man died after he was struck by an automobile Monday morning while riding his motorcycle on Greeno Road.
Paramedics transported Jerry Lee Renfrow, 64, of Foley, to Thomas Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before noon, said Sgt. Craig Sawyer, assistant administrator, Fairhope Police Department.
According to the initial investigation, a red 2000 Plymouth Neon, driven by Domonique Latasha Stanton, 20, of Fairhope, was entering Greeno Road from Autumn Drive when it collided with the 2007 black Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was traveling north on Greeno Road.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m., and, according to the police report, police and members of the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department arrived by 11:03 a.m.
Sawyer said Stanton’s 2-year-old daughter was also in the car, but neither of them were injured.
Renfrow was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, Sawyer said, and Stanton was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Sawyer said the case will be presented to the Baldwin County grand jury to determine if additional charges will be filed.
