BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Mark Allen Jordan, 35, of Foley, was found guilty Thursday in Baldwin County Circuit Court of manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office.

Jordan also was found guilty of misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia.

In June 2010, deputies were approaching Jordan’s Foley mobile home to serve a warrant when they thought they saw fire and went to investigate, according to the news release. When they looked in the window, they discovered a methamphetamine lab.

Deputies arrested Jordan and discovered an 11-year-old child in the room next door to the meth-cooking operation. Further investigation turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The felony charges of manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine carry sentences of 15 years to life and two to 20 years in prison due to prior convictions, according to the district attorney.  The misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, carry a potential one-year sentence.
