BAY MINETTE, Ala. — A Foley man who allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend in the face, cut her with a knife and threatened to kill her has been indicted by the Baldwin County grand jury on a second-degree domestic violence true bill, according to District Court records.

Edgar Lebaron Nettles, 38, of Keil Trail, was arrested June 25, 2010, and released on a $1,000 bail, according to jail records. The indictment, which included third-degree criminal mischief, was handed down April 6.

According to a warrant, Nettles struck the victim in the face with his fist and cut her left arm with a kitchen knife. He then told the victim, “Next time, it will be your life.”

Nettles also allegedly sliced a hole in the tire of the victim’s vehicle and cut the straps to her purse.
