FOLEY —
A Baldwin County grand jury has returned a six-count indictment against a Foley man for alleged sex crimes against three children.
Tony Edward Coyle, 30, was indicted on one count of sodomy, three counts of enticing a child, one count of sexual abuse of a child, and one count of attempted sexual abuse of a child in connection with an incident that occurred on Aug. 7, 2007, on Baldwin County Road 91 in Lillian, where Coyle was living at the time. Court documents show Coyle's current address as County Road 10 in Foley.
According to documents, Coyle was supervising three children on Aug. 7, 2007, when he persuaded the children to enter a room at his residence, where the children were allegedly molested. One of the children was 4 at the time and the other two were 5. A complaint filed in connection with the incident said Coyle fled the area in an attempt to avoid law enforcement after the offense was discovered.
Coyle was arrested Nov. 13, 2009, and remains in jail. His bond has been set at $1.2 million on the six-count indictment, which was handed down on April 23, 2010.
