FOLEY — A search warrant issued Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a Foley man and the seizure of numerous marijuana plants.

Foley Police and the Baldwin County Drug Task arrested 50-year-old Eugene Paul Whitt III of Leigh Circle when they found and confiscated 55 marijuana plants, which totaled approximately 10 pounds of the drug.

According to Foley Police Sgt. Tony Nelson, Whitt was found alone with the items.

“No one was in the home but him at the time of the execution of the search warrant,” he said.

Nelson said that Whitt has no previous arrest record. However, he remains in the Baldwin County Corrections Facility on a bond just over $1 million on charges of trafficking marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernaila.
