The Foley Performing Arts Association has been busy with events, including Trim A Tree last month and Uptown Foley events, for the past few months.

Despite the association’s busy schedule, organizer Bonnie Blaylock has no intention of slowing down. Earlier this week Blaylock announced a schedule of classes, which will ensure the association’s location on Laurel Avenue in Foley is bustling with activity throughout January.

Local artists, including Elizabeth Blaylock, Konstantyn Sylin, Mary Lou Nicolai, Jane Sellier, Eliza Husky, Birgit Scott, Lance Selava and Linda Barbee, will offer classes. Topics covered will include painting with various materials, jewelry making, knitting, cartooning and drawing.

Blaylock also announced the open house event for winter visitors and newcomers to the area will be held February 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
