FOLEY — Snow Birds flocked to Foley Civic Center Tuesday morning as the city of Foley hosted its Snow Bird Welcome Reception.

The event provided temporary Gulf Coast transplants the opportunity to learn about available resources and activities.

Among those on hand were Foley Environmental Manager Leslie Lassiter Gahagan to discuss Graham Creek Nature Preserve, Foley Public Library Director Steve Horn to discuss the facility’s resources, Foley Fire Chief Joey Darby and representatives of the Foley Performing Arts Association and the Foley Police Department. In addition, attendees received coupons for area businesses. Tuesday’s event was a collaboration of the city of Foley and the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.
