Foley Woman’s Club celebrates at Christmas Luncheon

GULF SHORES - The Foley Woman’s Club headed to Gulf Shores to celebrate its Christmas Luncheon at the Safari Club Restaurant on Monday, Dec. 6. The gathering included a buffet-style lunch, some holiday games with prizes, and the exchange of Christmas gifts, the recipient decided by a game of “Right, Left.”
The weekend before the event, the Foley Woman’s Club won first place in the Civic Category of the Foley Christmas Parade. Each year, the club members purchase Christmas gifts for the Alabama Sheriff Boys Ranch. This year, the members were able to present the boys with pre-paid tickets for Creekside Golf and day passes to The Park at OWA.
The December celebration also marks the kickoff for ticket sales to the club’s Annual Mad Hatter’s Event. Next year’s Mad Hatters’ Event will be themed “Going For The Green,” keeping in line with collecting as much funds as possible to go towards local charities as well as going green to save the planet. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Foley Civic Center with doors opening at 10 a.m. and the program beginning at 11:30. Tickets are $25 and are on sale now through the Woman’s Club members.
The Foley Woman’s Club meets the first Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (501 North Pine Street, Foley). Full membership and associate memberships are $20 annually. For more information, email foleywomansclub@gmail.com or follow the club on Facebook.
