FAIRHOPE, Alabama --- Three days of fun and music for a good cause will culminate with a concert featuring former Bad Company lead singer Brian Howe on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope.
The concert is part of the 11th annual Angel Ride, which benefits the Rileigh and Raylee Foundation, which annually assists hundreds of children with special medical needs and their families.
An estimated 10,000 bikers and music lovers are scheduled to attend the event, which begins with a Kickstart Party at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 featuring a concert by Pensacola fiddle player Brook Woods at venue located off of South Greeno Road in Fairhope.
Friday night’s Street Party begins at 4 p.m. and features The Alabama Blues Brothers, Jamey and Justin Chrisler; the Tommy Morse Band and the SuperToons Party Band, headlined by Mustang Sally, an all-female group that has performed with Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Big n Rich and Blake Shelton.
Saturday, gates open at 9 a.m. with an entire day filled with concerts on two stages.
A bike show begins at noon with an awards ceremony beginning around 1 p.m. and the Angel Ride set to begin at 2:30 p.m. from Oak Hollow.
Following the ride, music begins with Grits n Pieces, a duo of Alabama natives playing acoustic Southern rock; Holli Mosley, a Gulf coastal native, winner of Coast Into Fame Talent Contest at the Beau Rivage and the Mississippi Coast Colgate Country Showdown, among others, with her five-piece band playing a variety of country and Southern rock; and Todd Sparks and The Shrimpboat Cowboys, playing a combination of country, beach and classic rock.
The event will culminate with a concert performance by Howe, who took over as lead singer of Bad Company from Paul Rodgers in 1984 and served as the band’s lead singer for 10 years.
Tickets for the Saturday night concert are $25 each. Ride participation, which includes concert admission and access to the Festival grounds, costs $40. Camper/RV sites are available for $210 and tent sites are available for $150, which includes concert admission, parking and access to the grounds.
Tickets for the Friday night Street Party are $20. Event parking Friday and Saturday costs $5. Admission for the Saturday car and tractor show are free.
