Margaret Geraldine Fortenberry, 92, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at Homestead Village, Fairhope. She was Dec. 20, 1914 in Newnan, Ga. She moved to Fairhope in 1958 and was choir director at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Clint Era Fortenberry.
Survivors include two daughters, Julianne Fortenberry (Don) Hall of Destin, Fla., and Claudia Fortenberry (Jim) Barrett of Gainesville, Fla.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Julia Estes Trammel of Mooreland, Ga.; and her caregiver and friend, Nancy Hall Dennis of Fairhope.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the choir at First Baptist Church in Fairhope.
