Fourth of July travelers: Alabama rounds out top 5 for traffic ticketing

DAPHNE, Ala. — The Fourth of July is one of the busiest traffic days of the year and nothing can ruin a vacation more quickly than a traffic ticket; so it’s best to drive safely.

The National Motorists Association found Alabama rounds out the top five ticketing states. (Though that shouldn’t surprise Daphne residents, who know the city's police officers are particularly known for carrying out this duty.)

Most likely to hand out a traffic ticket is Florida, followed closely by Georgia and Nevada.

Montana is least likely to give traffic tickets.
