Fran L. Martin, 86, a native of Washington County and a resident of Daphne, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 in Fairhope.
She was an elder, deacon and elder ameritus at the Fairhope Christian Church. She was a member of the American Nurses Association, Western North Carolina Nurses Association. She retired from the Veteran's Administration, Memphis, Tenn., in 1986 as a nursing supervisor.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Newcomers, the Study and Readers Clubs along with various other clubs.
Survivors include her husband, Woodard E. Martin of Daphne; two sons, Gregg W. Martin of Murphy, N.C., and Robert Earl (Lynn) Martin of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Keith, Jayson, Hillary, Eric and Meagan; and a brother, John Robert Loper of Chatom.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Fairhope Christian Church.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
