Frances Marie Scott, 67, born in Atlanta, Ga. and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
She was a corrections officer (retired) with the Daphne Police Department.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Dean Scott Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska, Warren E. “Eddie” (Becky) Scott of Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; two brothers, James Edward (Karin) Smith of Gateswood and John R. (Virginia) Smith of Spanish Fort; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Dean Scott Sr.; a daughter, Donna Marie Alexander; and brother, Reggie Smith.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette, with the Rev. Richard Harvey officiating.
Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home.
