Patrice Lorraine Franks, 62, a native of Bennettsville, S.C., and a resident of Foley, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
She retired from the Blount County Commissioners Office, Blount County. She was living her long awaited dream after having moved to the Gulf Coast three years ago. She loved books, puzzles, jokes, plants, her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Logan Patrick Sr. and Lucille Gray Patrick.
Survivors include four children, Jennifer (Dave) Smith of Gadsden, Daniel (Sharla) Foy of Gardendale, Keith Foy of Fayetteville, N.C., and Michelle Foy of Foley; 10 grandchildren; two uncles, Carey Patrick Jr. and Frank Patrick, both of Wilmington, N.C.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
