Billie Frauenhoffer, 79, a native of Electric Mills, Miss., and a resident of Elberta, died Wednesday, March 19 at a local hospital.
She was a life member, (43 years), of the Elberta VFW Post #5658 Ladies Auxiliary, past National Assistant Conductress, past National Color Bearer, past State President, past Auxiliary President, (8 terms), holding many state chairmanships. She retired from Solutia, (Monsanto), after twenty-nine years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Peter A. Frauenhoffer.
She is survived by a son, Ronald (Billie) Nardell of Elberta; two daughters, Sandy Germany and Rita (Richard) Keller, of Elberta; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roddy Coker of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Jimmy Walley of Baker, La.; four sisters, Grace Keith of Elberta, Nita Bouquet of Baton Rouge, La., Vondelle Busby of Quitman, Miss., and Annette Hall of Missouri; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Internment will follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Germany, Curtis Germany, Danny Keller, Shannon Keller, Rodney Criswell and Mike Cox.
