Fred Dorman Day, 98, born in Opp and a resident of Stockton, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at Oakwood Nursing Home. He was a retired chemical operator at Reichhold Chemical.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Day; his daughter, Barbara Jean Day and five brothers, Oscar Day, Allen Day, Houston Day, John Day and Gladden Day.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial followed at Richerson Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stockton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 438, Stockton, AL 36579.
