Fred W. Leiterman Sr., 71, a native and lifelong resident and farmer of Elberta, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Marcella Leiterman; brother, Tony Leiterman; and many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 46 1/2 years, Betty Krehling Leiterman; two sons, Fred W. Leiterman Jr. and Scott (Crystal) Leiterman; a granddaughter, Carlie Elizabeth Leiterman; a brother, Nick (Kathy) Leiterman of Elberta; and five sisters, Gladys Hollingsworth, Kathleen (Jerry) Gross, Elsie (John) Kane, Erna (Eli) Krehling and Lena (Bill) Willis.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 27, 2014, at 7 p.m., at Benedictine Hall, behind St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta, with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. John Huggins will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Benedict Catholic School in Elberta, or to the American Heart Association.
