Freddie Gene Dixon, 75, of Hartselle, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center–Princeton in Birmingham.
He was born May 28, 1936 in Chilton. He was a retired Baptist minister and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton.
He is survived by wife, Luvern Dixon, Hartselle; son, Joe Dixon, Hartselle; daughter, Kathy Wright, Birmingham; two sisters, Martha Kelly and Earline Duke, both of Grove Hill; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, April 28, with the Rev. John Copeland officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Roger Prewett, Mike Norris, Morgan Norris, Douglas “Buddy” Norris, Randy Davis and Harold Jarman. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
