SPANISH FORT, Ala. — The Eastern Shore Centre held its first Eastern Shore Idol last Friday.

Kelton French won first place in the competition and Brianna Cook won second place. Winners were awarded prize packets that included gift cards to the Eastern Shore Centre, Wintzell’s Oyster House, California Dreaming, Chic-Fil-A and Paint and Pals Studio, according to Kristen Kammer-Hattox, marketing director for the centre.

Following the Idol performances, PEEK, a Mobile rock band, played a concert that brought a crowd to the fountain.

A fireworks show was put on by the centre that night, Kammer-Hattox said.
