GULF SHORES, Ala. -- The “Friends” of the Gulf

Shores Thomas B. Norton Library will have its Annual Book Sale on

Feb.9-11 at the Adult Activity Center in Gulf Shores.

Thursday, Feb. 9, from 4-7 p.m. all Friends

are invited to the Preview Sale during the Wine and Cheese Party. 

Anyone is welcome to attend by becoming a Friend, paying the annual

Friend dues of $10.

The Friends book sale will be open from 9 a.

m.-6 p. m. on Friday, Feb. 10.  On Saturday, Feb. 11, the sale will

continue from 8:30 a. m. until 1 p. m. 

Along with the general Book Sale, a specialty

book sale, for collectors, will be directed by Karl Porter, and a

Bake Sale, chaired by Bobbie Rooker, will be held on Friday and

Saturday.

Working closely with The City of Gulf Shores

and the library staff, the proceeds from the book sale provide

books and other resources and equipment to the library for the

community to use while also sponsoring the Children’s Summer

Reading Program.
