Donald Joe Friese, 71, a native of Missouri and a resident of Loxley, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 after battling cancer.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Odessa Friese, brother, Buddy Friese, and sister, Gladys Ziegler.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 39 years, Esther Friese of Loxley; four sisters, Rosetta Totty of Missouri, LaVonna Williamson, Betty Mosley and June Peak, all of Alabama; brother, Dean Friese of Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services and burial were held Friday, Sept. 11 at Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley with the Rev. Mark Harbison officiating.
Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Robertsdale.
