BAY MINETTE— The Faulkner State men fell behind early but rallied to a 31-31 tie before the half. Bishop State then hit a shot with three seconds left to take a 33-31 lead at the break. Injuries hampered the Sun Chiefs in the second half with two starters missing 10 or more minutes. FSCC battled to stay close and trailed 47-46 with 12 minutes left, but never regained the lead.

The Bishop State Wildcats improved to 16-7 overall and 11-1 in South Division play. FSCC is 20-8 and 7-5 with two games remaining.

Montez Brown led Faulkner State with 11 points and three assists. Cordero Dade added nine in 28 minutes while Sam Austin scored eight in just 23 minutes. The Wildcats were led by Chance Morton with 22 points and Terrell Glover with 16. Travis Andrews added 10 for BSCC. At the free throw line the FSCC Sun Chiefs were 17-of-28, BSCC was 11-for-19.
