Hugh H. Fuller, 84, a native of Cross Hill, S.C., and resident of Daphne, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at a local health care facility.
He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed on the USS Columbia. He attended Clemson University, and worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Columbia, S.C. He relocated to Daphne in 1964 and became the district manager of Blue Cross/ Blue Shield in Mobile for 30 years. Also an avid golfer, he was a member of the Lake Forest Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther M. Fuller.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Hill of Huntsville; three sons, Hugh H. Fuller III of Fredericksberg, Texas, Charles M. Fuller of Columbia, S.C., and John F. Fuller of Daphne; a sister, Elizabeth F. Knolhoff of Baldwin Long Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne.
