Brother James “Jimmy” Fuller Sr., born Feb. 10, 1917 in Gosport, a resident of Marlow for 78 years, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 in Fayetteville, N.C.
He was owner and operator of Dixie Road Garage Inc. He united with the Mount Gilead Baptist Church at an early age and remained faithful until his death.
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Auzie M. Fuller, a son, James Fuller Jr.; and a daughter, Helen Fuller Jimerson.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Augustas) McGrue of Fayetteville, N.C., and Shirley W. Pratt of Daphne; son, Aubury L. (Clarissa) Fuller of Marlow; son-in-law, Pinkney Jimerson of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two brothers-in-law, Arnold Hunter Sr. and Joe Hunter Jr. of Marlow; two devoted friends, Deacon and Sister Willie Reed Sr.; 10 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other devoted relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Wolfe- Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. Visitation will also be held beginning at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Summerdale.
The family requests memotial donations be made to the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation or the Mercy Medical Foundation.
