Andrew Jackson Gabel, 82, a native and resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at a local hospital.
Survivors include his wife Rita Moore Gabel of Fairhope; two sons, Andrew J. Gabel Jr. and Robert Gabel, both of Mobile; sister, Ethel Gabel Atkins of Mobile; brother-in-law, Charles "Jack" Moore of Magnolia Springs; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and visitation were held on Wednesday Feb. 20 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Interment followed at Montrose Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the charity of choice.
