John and Sharon Jones of Fairhope and Wayne and Jennifer Gable of Columbia, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elisa Gable, to Ryan William Robinson, the son of Bill and Pam Robinson of Huntsville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Fairhope High School and Auburn University where she is a graduate student studying speech and language pathology.
She is the granddaughter of Wesley and Gay Grant, Willie and Nancy Foster, and Wayne and Diane Gable, all of Fairhope.
The prospective bridegroom will graduate from Auburn University in May and will begin work as an electrical engineer at MeadWestvaco this summer.
He is the grandson of Richard and Margaret Houck of Flemington, N.J.
The couple will exchange vows Aug. 9, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Fairhope and plan to reside in Auburn.
