Blue Morning Gallery, 112 Palafox Place, just north of the Saenger Theatre in Pensacola, is featuring the works of painter Pauleene Smith, jeweler Monique Webb and photographer Christine Chandler.
The show, “Celebrating New Beginnings,” runs through Aug. 25.
The title takes in a lot of meaning. One reason is because all three began displaying in the gallery early this year.
“I also think of each new piece of art that is created is a new beginning,” says Chandler.
Webb was born in Brussells, Belgium and was surrounded by an artistic family, so art came naturally to her as a tool of expression.
Smith is originally from Corbin, Ky., also the home of Col. Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame. She spent many years as an educator, teaching children many things including self esteem and an appreciation for the creative process.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Call (850) 429-9100 or (850) 932-4642 for more information. You can also visit the gallery online at www.bluemorninggallery.com.
