Ruby Mae Gentry Ganey, 84, a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary.

She was a school bus driver for 30 years with the Baldwin County School System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. “Buddy” Ganey; sister, Sally King; and brother, Gerald Daniel “Burns” Gentry.

Survivors include 10 children, Willie Mae Hinson of Bay Minette, Barbara (Don) Hammond of Faunsdale, Charles Wayne (Gwen) Ganey of White House Fork, Patricie Marie (Randy) Rider of White House Fork, Kenneth Michael (Melody) Ganey of Perdido, Billy Louis (Debbie) Ganey of Ozark, Elizabeth “Libby” Nall of Bay Minette, Debbie Thompson of White House Fork, Tina (Wayne) Turner of Perdido and Nancy (Mitchell) Broughton of Crossroads, 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 7 at Norris Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 8 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Michael McRae, The Rev. Dr. Chip Starnes and the Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charlie Ganey, Joey Rider, Kaleb Ganey, Brandon Ganey, Chris Nall, Josh Coleman, Little Wayne Turner and Tommy “T3” Horn. Honorary pallbearers were Ty Anglin, Brad Ganey, Lane Rider and Chad Rider.

Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
