Conrad Clifton Garner, 83, of Foley died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in Foley.
He was born Nov. 12, 1924 in Defuniak Springs, Fla. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Pennsylvania. After his service in the Navy he married Annie Pearl Garner. They were married for 62 years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Garner.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Pearl Garner of Foley; daughter, Robin (Walter) Ammons of Perdido; two sisters, Elaine Coghlan of Latham and Ruth Cox of Robertsdale; four grandchildren, Jennifer Tampary of Gulf Shores, Ward Ammons of Perdido, Lisa Arnold of Foley and Toni Brown of Perdido; three great-grandchildren, Collin Shepard of Foley, Garner Tampary of Gulf Shores and Skylar Arnold of Foley; and daughter-in-law, Jannie Garner of Foley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12 at Pine Rest Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Nale officiating.
