Eva Odom Garrett, 88, , died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at North Baldwin Infirmary while surrounded by her beloved family singing her most cherished hymns at her bedside.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Suella Odom; and her husband of 56 years, Marshall E. Garrett.
Survivors include her children, Sue Garrett (Ronald C.) Todd and Wayne (Gayle) Garrett of Byram, Miss.; grandchildren, Stephen Garrett (Bonita) Todd, Richard W. Garrett and Robin G. (Shane) Bounds; and great-grandson, Michael Todd.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 24 at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Chester Clark and the Rev. Lynn Terry Officiating. Burial followed at Pine Forest Methodist Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., with the Rev. Ken Anderson officiating.
