Travis O. Garrison Jr., born on Oct. 15, 1955 in Philadelphia, died after a short battle with cancer, Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at his home, surrounded by family.

He moved his family to Spanish Fort in September of 2005 from Flourtown, Pa., where he had been a lifelong resident. He performed countless hours as a youth leader at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield (Flourtown, Pa.) and was a U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Lieutenant (Pensacola and Mobile). 

He was a gracious son, a devoted husband, wonderful father and an amazing friend. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in deathh by his father, Travis O. Garrison Sr.  in June of 2009.

Survivors include his loving wife, Deborah Garrison of Spanish Fort;  three daughters, Abigail McGinley, of Spanish Fort,  Jennifer Garrison of Philadelphia and Samantha Garrison of Spanish Fort; his mother, Elizabeth Garrison of Red Bay; brother, Tom Garrison of Norristown, Pa.; and two sisters, Joanne Garrison of Alpine, Texas, and Betsy Garrison of Daphne.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
