Gaston Leon Jones Sr., age 93, a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016.
Mr. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. He was a USMC veteran, a lifetime member of the American Legion and a 50-year Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jones of Fairhope; one son, Gaston L. Jones Jr. of Fairhope; two daughters, Linda Sparks of Millbrook, Margaret Scarborough of Mobile; two brothers, Harold Jones of Mobile, David Jones of Gulf Shores; two sisters, Verna Roberts of Gulf Shores, Betty McKenzie of Birmingham; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Monday, June 20, 2016, at 1 p.m.
The family will receive friends from noon until the service time.
Graveside services and interment will be in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
