Brittany Leigh Gatlin and Douglas Alexander Polk were united in marriage Oct. 25, 2008 at the home of the bride’s parents.
Pastor Clayton Barnes officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Gulf Shores High School. She works for Brett-Robinson Vacation Rentals.
She is the daughter of David and Delores Gatlin of Gulf Shores.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Foley High School. He works for Polk Plumbing.
He is the son of Leslie and Dede Polk of Elberta.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, David Gatlin.
Brook Gatlin, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dawn Young of Elberta, Tabitha Williams of Foley, Christine Culleton of Gulf Shores and Brittney Vandiver of Gulf Shores.
Hannah Harrison of Summerdale and Shelby Creamer of Summerdale served as flower girls. Austin Harrison of Summerdale served as ring bearer.
Brennan Giles of Foley served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Roney of Gulf Port, Miss., Ellis Williams of Foley, Yurii Polk of Gulf Shores, Jeremy Hobbs of Marlow.
Ushers were Shawn Harrison, Brad Polk, Darrell Scott and Eric Proctor.
A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., the couple resides in Bon Secour.
