Gene Middleton, 68, a native and lifelong resident of Loxley, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Carol P. Middleton of Loxley; two daughters, Regina (Johnnie) Sundie and Jina Middleton, both of Loxley; son, Derek (Beth) Middleton of Malbis; two sisters, Joan (Michael) Contorno of Orange Beach and Janice (Jack) Vaughn of Fairhope; six grandchildren, Tyler Sundie, Chelsea Sundie, Chandler Tolbert, Anna Caroline Tolbert, Payne Middleton and Price Middleton.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Loxley First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Hail Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale.
Pallbearers are Jerry “Jake” Farmer, Butch Farmer, Phil Cooper, David Trawick, Roy Harper, Ray Darby, Sidney McMillan and Kevin Sinclair. Honorary pallbearers are Max Childress, Kelly Childress, Pete Middleton, Billy Middleton, Valnae Hinote, Bud Hinote, Jason Grimes, John “Monkey” Weaver and Johnny Young.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Loxley First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 114, Loxley, AL 36551.
