Gene Ray Waters, 65, a resident of Daphne, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence at Covenant Hospice.
He was a premier project manager at KBR Construction International.
He is survived by his wife, Denise (Elleson) Waters of Daphne; his children, J.J. (Brent) Roberts of Pensacola, Brandy Rae Stinson of Daphne, Casey Jean (Jeremy) Farr of Anniston, Jessie Dee Waters of Anniston and Luke David (Laura) Waters of Jackson; a brother, Tom (Angie) Waters of Spanish Fort; a sister, Judy Valine of Bay Minette; and nine grandchildren, Alli, Nikki, James, Keegan, Gabrielle “Brie,” Evan, Katie, Jase and Terra.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. “Tuffy” and Nell Waters; his brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Gwyn Powell; and his great-niece, Carlin Davis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at noon, at First United Methodist Church of Bay Minette, with Dr. Ted Mashburn and the Rev. Larry Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the noon service at First United Methodist Church.
