General Douglas McArthur Parker, 69, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29 2011. He was a native of Foley and a resident of Robertsdale.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Alice Parker of Robertsdale; one daughter, Michelle (Jason) Hughes of Loxley; four sons, Rodney Ray (Kathy) Parker of Tensaw, Ronald Steven (Dana) Parker of Stapleton, Timothy David (Danielle) Parker of Silverhill and Randy Jerome Parker of Robertsdale; two brothers, Johnny Galloway (Charlotte) Parker Jr.Loxley and David Lee Parker of Robertsdale; three sisters, Martha Pearl (Donnie) Bryant of Stapleton, Nelda Mae (Frank) Ard of Loxley and Camellia Dale (Stan) Barnett of Foley; and 14 grandchildren.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Retha Mae Parker; a son, Douglas Quinton Parker; and two sisters.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. General Douglas McArthur Parker will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at the Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church Cemetery, with Sr. Marie Harms officiating.
