Genevieve Lowell Pierce, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, passed away May 4, 2014.
A devout Christian, she was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
She was a wonderful mother to her three children and two son-in-laws, Kay McKnight (Bob), Vickie Outzen (Rob) and Whit Pierce. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to her two grandchildren and their spouses, Melanie Newman (Brock) and Chris McKnight (Yvonne); and her three great-grandchildren, Miles McKnight, Mia James McKnight and Ashlar Newman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Arthur Whitlowe Pierce (Blacky); her son, Arthur Whitlowe Pierce Jr. (Whit); her parents, Grover and Eloise Lowell; her sisters, Estelle Brady, Doris Shull and Muriel Hilyer; and her brothers, Grover Lowell and Doug Lowell. She is remembered and loved by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Genny worked at Emperor Clock for many years and as a real estate agent. She enjoyed her family, aerobics classes and sunsets on Mobile Bay.
The funeral services will be held May 24, 2014, at 2 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope. The family will receive relatives and friends after the service in the church Parish Hall.
