George Alford “Totty” Bishop, 64, a native and lifelong resident of Fairhope, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.
Totty was preceded in death by his father, George Otis Bishop; mother, Gracie Claudine Davis Bishop; and brother, Donnie Bishop.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula Bishop of Fairhope; children, Lenora “Lee” Havel and her husband, Larry, of Magnolia Springs, George “Bubba” Bishop, April Read and her husband Jason, all of Fairhope; four grandchildren, Leland and Loren Havel, Jaxon Read and Katie Ho; four sisters, Irene Comalander of Fairhope, Jeanette Burgin of Palmdale, Calif., Glenda Hamric of Magnolia Springs, Nancy Spaller of Yupon; many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Brook-Cedron Cemetery, Barnwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made In Memory of George “Totty” Bishop, at any Regions Bank location.
